Our family enjoyed a delightful three-night stay. The warm hospitality from the staff made us feel right at home. The highlight was the delicious breakfast spread, featuring a vast selection that satisfied everyone. Make sure to try the evening three-course dinner. it’s a real treat!

Had an awesome weekend with friends! We kicked off our adventure with the grand opening ceremony at Abbot Hall Park, lit up with fire sculptures and stunning lanterns. Exploring the Lakes and enjoying the Cumbria Dark Skies Festival was incredible, with lots of street entertainment and a funfair. Breakfast was really good, and the staff made us feel right at home.

We paid extra for a garden view room, but it just overlooked a concrete patio, which was a letdown. The bathroom could've used a good clean as well.

We loved our stay with a few couples, especially enjoying the nearby festivities like the grand opening at Abbot Hall Park. Each morning featured an incredible breakfast with loads of options, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and happy.

In my wife’s opinion, a wider food menu would be beneficial for families with children.

The room was super spacious and really well equipped, making our stay very comfy! We enjoyed the lovely sun terrace and beautiful garden seating after a long day of exploring. One small downside was the breakfast timing, as we had to wake up early, but it didn’t really take away from our overall experience. 😊

The charming lounge area allowed for a cozy retreat, and the breakfast was a standout with its extensive selection. The only drawback was the lack of grab rails in the bathroom, which could enhance safety for older guests.

I absolutely adored the lovely gardens, which brought so much joy and color during my stay. The comfortable lounge area was conveniently accessible, allowing me to relax and enjoy the beautiful views effortlessly.

More grab rails in the bathroom would help seniors.

Comfortable room, friendly staff, including those serving the delicious breakfast with plenty of healthy choices like fruit and cooked options, and the hotel has a lovely bar area to relax in after exploring the nearby attractions such as the lake accessible via the Green boat.

Everything met my expectations.

Unfortunately, the family room upgrade turned out to be a concrete cubicle with an unpleasant chemical smell, which forced a change of rooms. The cramped attic space we ended up in had narrow windows with no real garden view, and while the bathroom was modern, cleanliness could have been addressed better as it fell short of expectations. Breakfast had strict time slots, which constrained our plans, and although tables were available with great views, we were seated in a middle section that detracted from the experience.
